Jenizall Whippets
established 2007
Hello and welcome to Jenziall Whippetts. My name is Karen Parnell, and together with my husband Brian, I am a newly established Whippet kennel. We hope you take the time to look around this website and find out a little more about us, and one of the canine world's most delightful and soundest little dogs. Please take the time to visit Beau and Phoebe's pages. Don't forget to check out our links page. We have tried to provide you with a variety of interesting and useful links relating not only to whippets, but to other sites related to your dog's safety and responsible pet ownership.
We hope you enjoy your visit
Max was rescued from our local animal welfare centre. He had been handed in unwanted by his former owners. He showed signs of abuse from his former owners. He would carry some of these emotional scars all his life.
Even though Max thrived on pats and cuddles, and was quick to trust a friendly hand, he appeared to be poorly socialized by his former owners. So for the next couple of years, Max and I would spend our Sunday mornings down at our local dog obedience club. While Max was never a star in the ring, we did manage a couple of third places. More importantly, Max turn into a happy well adjusted friendly dog.
We lost Tesa to cancer in 2003, and Max to old age in 2006.
Gone but never forgotten. They had taught us well.
After losing Tesa, it did not take us long to realize that we could not live without whippets in our lives.
Wanting to continue on (with agility), where I left off with Max, I was looking for a dog with a great temperament. Our search for the right whippet led us to Griff and Lisa Parry of Parnew Whippets in Tasmania. Talking to Griff, it did not take me long to realise how passionate he was about his whippets, and what lovely sound temperaments his line of whippets carried. They had a litter available, and so Beau joined us in December 2004
Max and Beau soon became great mates.
Realising that Beau was going to be lonely after Max was gone, we approached Griff again. This time we wanted a pretty little girl whippet. Griff and Lisa, had just mated their beautiful bitch Jackie (Aust. Ch. Jeniems Brand New Day) to the magnificent Barney (Aust.Ch.Eng.Ch.Ir.Ch.Int.Ch. Collooney Silver Jigolo). Max died in March 2006, and five weeks later in May, 10 week old Phoebe arrived to join a very lonely Beau.
So now we have a family of young dogs again. Until his retirement last year, Beau and I had a regular Thursday night date for agility training, and Phoebe and I spend the occassional weekend in the show ring.

Phoebe produced our foundation litter on the 24th May 2009.
She gave us four beautiful puppies, 2 boys and 2 girls.
Shari (Jenizall Divine Intervention) will be making her debut
in the show ring within the next few weeks.

We would like to thank Jenny Murdoch, from Jeniem’s Whippet’s for generously allowing us to use her old Jenizall prefix. We would also like to thank Griff and Lisa Parry, from Parnew Whippets, for all their help, support and friendship. We hope to be able to honor the legacy that Jess (Jenizall Hot In The City) has passed on to us.
